A question was thrown at me of how I define an ideal friend.
I was stuck for a moment but confidently replied that..
He/She is there for me when I am in need
I enjoy his/her presence under all circumstances
I need little explanation for him/her to understand my intention.

So what came to my mind was..
Does that ideal friend even exists?
What qualifies a friend anyway?

A few days ago, I made a special trip down to New Urban Male to get a pair of sandals for a friend.
i gleefully showed Sa my quest but was asked why did i buy a footwear since it is unauspicious.
I was quick to justify that because his slippers were already worn out.
Sa commended me for my thoughtful gesture and for a moment I was pleased with myself, till i reflect the whole process.
Well, actually that gift was sort of my last resort.
I tried searching for the perfect bday present but frankly I had no clue what to get.
So I gathered information solely from our previous meeting.
I pondered then, how is it possible that he is a friend I treasure and yet I know so little about him?
(This also applies to a handful of my so-called friends)
And I figured it is my ignorance and pride.
Like how I refuse to initiate a meet-up or drop a message to show that I actually care.
Overwhelmed with guilt and regrets now is a little late cos he is flying off.
Hence, treasure every moment with those you truly care as you'll never know what the future holds.

I guess as long as I do care for you, you are my friend.
But it takes much more to be a good friend.
Are you a good friend? If not, do something about it.

But the story plot is driving me crazy. Like wah liao, where got so coincidental one.

Believe or not, I have never set New Year resolution. Guess I have always been doing things aimlessly.
So, few stuff I must accomplish this year:
1. Get my driving license
2. YEP or work and travel
3. Either go for diving/ skiing trip
looks like it's gonna be a fulfilling year.

It's 3am and my brother is still playing majong at this hour. To think about it, I have never played majong overnight, which is quite pathetic don't you think? For a start, who wants to teach me majong?

Memorable getaway to phuket

Day 1:
Touchdown at 8am.
First stop, Tour Agency.
Gene bargained for bloody 2hrs. The deal? 5,100 Thai Baht per pax, which include...
Phiphi island trip (I rate 5 smiley faces)
Phang Nga trip (4 smiley faces)
FantaSea (4.5 smiley faces)
City Tour and a ride back to airport.
If you were to calculate, you'll figure it's S$225 per pax. you must be thinking, I'm crazy. But trust me it's the best deal, we've checked with other agencies. Besides, you'll be convinced that it's worth it after glimpsing the pix.

Our Resort- Salathai. Fabulous service.

Day 2:
Phiphi island. A must-see. You like snorkelling, you must visit phiphi, even if you don't, you should.

If I remember correctly, the last time I performed a dance was when I was sec 2 during the Relgious Emphasis Week. Geeez! I'm reminded of my age again. 8 years of hibernation and now I have to dance in front of a crowd seems far-fetched. Anyway, like it or not I have to do it cos this less-than-5-minutes-performace weighs like bloodly 30percent. I'm curious how the prof is going to grade since this is very much a group effort.

Apparently, the performace was filmed and supposedly broadcasted on smu website, but, shrug, couldn't find it. I promise to share that is if I ever find it. hah! Meantime u guys can glimpse through some shots taken.

Wah piang! Presentation one after the other. Super sianz. Now I am rushing a dance evaluation report. Tough and unbelievable. I took like forever to come with a sentence like this: "I was awed by the synchronous of the dancers, the movement was executed flawlessly and their expressions still vivid in my mind." DUH!! What was that anyway??? It is so off and doesn't sound the least bit convincing. HELP!! I'm suffering from servere mental block. Btw, if you were wondering what sort of weird report is this, I am suppose to evaluate Carmen, a dance performance featured during da:ns festival. Good stuff, but hard to express in words. Can you understand my agony? Can anot?

Basically, I am surrounded with assignments, projects, presentation, training, more assignments yada yada.. 4 weeks more to bare. Endure...

I flipped my dairy this morning and figured it's time to clear my to-do list. Crucial stuff to settle:

4. top up cash card so that i can start printing my notes accumulated since week 1

Alrite I know I have been missing for freaking 6 months. lol. Well been rather busy so please forgive me, I'll TRY to blog on a regular basis from now on.

Feb- Apr: Test, Projects and MORE Projects
Apr-Aug: Internship at some sucky MNC
And now i am back at school. yeayie~ hee.

Ofcourse there is more to it. Recently, I've participated in the Dragonboat Festival race, NDP ushering, Duathalon, Convocation etc. Though my schedule is more packed and inevitably less rest time but I'm definitely much happier. Had loads of fun particularly with the girls from my team and not forgetting xinyi, esther and kc. The begining phase was a struggle cos my routine was all messed up but at the end of the day, it's all rewarding and I'm rather pleased with myself. lol.

You all know that I always say I am blessed with nice people around me. Hope it stays that way FOREVER. As you grow older, you are drawing yourself nearer to a world of deceit. It is impossible to be the niave and carefree child you once were. Once you are off-guarded, you may be slashed by a parang. *lol* Ok, maybe i exaggerate a little. The idea is there.. People(somehow my examples are all men, but then again i have a small sample size, so i can't conclude is that particular species, so i generalise.. anyway) ain't that nice. You be the judge.

Eyewitness 1: Myself

My friend, Joey, befriends Ross. Hmmm.. or rather good friends with Ross(btw, I've never liked this fella from day 1. He has bad aura. I always trust me intuition and I strike again.) Ross has a girlfriend, Rachel whom I like. I have only spoken to her once and I can tell she loves Ross quite abit. Btw, they are together for very very very long.

So, There is this particular day, my friend Joey kept pestering me to go clubbing. After much persuasion(he has to persuade cos he is going his group of friends which makes me uncomfortable. I mean I like making friends(mostly gals), but you know it can be really odd. I prefer sticking with my usual clique. Anyway, I figure besides the part about as business student you should build as many contact as you can, acquaintances are quite pointless. You hardly know them and they are never there for you. I rather invest my time with those whom i care and cares for me. Ok, i digress alot. Back to the topic), I dragged myself there. I admit that I had fun that evening but was disturbed by something. To my dismay, Ross was holding another girl's hand and later grabbed her waist. Though they were dancing frantically at the dance floor, you can clearly tell they were flirting at the same time. I was concern, so i asked Joey what is his friend trying to do. Joey said the girl is drank, he is just taking care of her. I wasn't convinced with his explanation cos guys are always covering asses for their guy friends. (They call it brotherhood. Seriously, WADEVA~).

Weeks later, I stumbled upon a sms on Joey's phone. Ross at that time was seeking help from Joey. Apparently, the girl, lets call her Bridget, Bridget, has a boyfriend. She is crying and confronting Ross. I have learnt that Ross from the start place no interest in Bridget but kept leading her on. Bridget was obviously confused at that time cos she is comtemplating whether to break up with her bf for who you know. I know this sounds like some drama serials but then again drama serials are based on real accounts as well.

Guys may think that Bridget is so stupid. I can even hear them echoing: "Come on la! You go clubbing you don't expect to get love out of it!"But serioiusly, I feel sorry for Rachel and Bridget. Rachel is betrayed and yet have not clue about it. (Anyway, I think girls should start their spy team to spy on their bfs. Spies club members are all girls ofcourse. I meant it sucks to be cheated and not know about it) Bridget is fooled into liking Ross. I just don't understand PEOPLE sometimes. If you PEOPLE have no interest, why bother giving others a false impression. Are you seeking pleasure to see others weep and beg you to love them. Please spare us. We are fragile and not game to all your scheming tactics. See what I mean? Once you take off your armour u have people hurting you. Even the one you love and trust most may destroy you overnight. Like what my mum always says, choose your friends and love wisely. I don't mean to say that you should stay cynical about everything. You can keep your bubbly/cool/wadeva personality but just keep in mind that not everyone can be trusted.

School is so dreadful. Individual assignments, tests and projects are piling. *moans*
I can't seem to get myself settled down with school work.

Nah!! Here it is =)
I know you demand some explanation, here it goes..
There is a delay cos.. Initially, i wanted to launch my blog on an auspicious date eg. xmas or new year. Why? I have no clue myself. After having sa and estee nagging at me almost everyday, so I thought it's better start asap to seal their mouth. Anyway, I figure if want to stick to that whole auspicious thingy.. I will never be able to get it done..

So here it is. Today is THE DAY.. 200106.. Hmmm! Nothing Fascinating. Wadeva~

Argghh! This whole blogging thing is quite complicating.
First, I have to search for templates and most of them look like shit. The whole blogging procedure is so alien to me. So, you guys gotto give me some tips on this.
